Who has got that Friday feeling? It has been a rather hectic end to the week here at 'The Beard Struggle' HQ. So I thought against throwing anything too strenuous in the mixing pot to see in the weekend.
So, instead of offering you sound advise, tips and tricks I thought we would take a little look at the top three most popular beards on 2017 so far...
THE STUBBLE BEARD STANDS IT'S GROUND!
I got scorched in the comments section of an old blog post when I confronted this so called 'beard stubble' suggesting it isn't all that much of a beard if a beard at all. But it seems many of you didn't agree with my harsh words, and have proven so by continuing to sprout out a little stubble beard of your own, making it more popular than ever in the year 2017.
Am I a fan? I mean, it's a great starting point I guess, but I still cannot accept this being called a beard.
THE GOATEE SEEMS TO BE MAKING A STRONG RETURN!
The goatee style beard never seems to fall too far short from the popularity rankings when it comes to facial hair styles that are currently relevant.
They first boomed in the early 80's as many men tested the waters of the world of facial hair. And it seems 2017 has seen a huge return in popularity for the newfound thicker goatee to return.
I must say when done right it does look neat and tidy for the beholder, and I can't see it falling out of style anytime soon either.
THE FULL BEARD REMAINS THE MOST POPULAR BY FAR!
And your winner is....THE 'LUMBERJACK' STYLE FULL BEARD!
Was that much of a surprise? It seems many of us beardsmen begin our furry face journey testing the waters with another facial hair style, before 'jumping in the deep end' so to speak, and grow a full beard. I myself started out with a long 'chin strap' style beard before venturing out into the world of the full beard. And I can honestly say I wouldn't be without it now almost three years after.
Whatever facial hair style you have I say rock that sh*t out of it loudly and proudly. It often takes a bigger man to stick the middle finger up to society and what we are expected to appear like in order to sprout out in the first place. I admire the time and hard work that goes into growing, and fully suggest you continue to do so.
That sees Friday's blog coming to a close for this week my friends. As always be sure to leave us a little something in the comments section below.
And until next time, Beard on Brothers, Beard on...
